Choosing field of study, Help me please ^_^

This is the first question you have to unsver in your statement of purpose essay. It should come from your very personal experience. Otherwise I might advice to go for rocket engineering! But you wouldn't like it right? However it should come from you.

i mean, the field of study that's related with my current major now T_T, I don't have any idea about it,..
TEFL? ESL? or american studies? hehe

hi ira! i think if you're having trouble deciding what field of study to take, you should sit down and think about your future goals. where do you want to be 5 years from now? do you want to be teaching? there is a lot you can do with english education so i would encourage you to really think about what you want to do with your studies. from there, you'll be able to see what fields of study will suit you the best!

Hello Ira,

I think in your case the most relevant majors would be "Education" and "U.S. studies." You can choose Education because it's your major back home and you can learn a lot about US educational system and how Americans teach at schools or universities. Also another field of study can be U.S. studies. Under UGRAD program my major was U.S. studies and I can say that I got much information about US history, culture and other aspects of American life choosing this major. The U.S. studies major will help you as you are an English language teacher to understand better American lifestyle because one of the part of you future profession demands from you to know American culture.
