Hi Sandeep. You are asking about what the TOEFL iBT score is used for. Since English is not your native language, universities require an standardized exam to prove your English proficiency.

Hey zien,

Congratulations for having been called for interview. They asked me couple of questions from my personal statement.

They asked me following questions

1. why did you choose your major ?

2. Say something about your personal struggle ?

3. Why did u choose these clubs for extracurricular activity?

4. Why do you want to go to states from this very program ?

5. Where do you see yourself 5 years from now ?

6. Will you loose a year and study in states for this program ?

..

What i think is.. they want to know about your intentions and your work that you have done in your past and that u plan to do in future. Do make sure to be confident and support ure answers with strong reasons, answer in such a way that makes them percieve that u have intention to return back to ure home country.

All the best for interview, and a piece of advice .. do stick to your personal statement, as almost all the questions would come from there.

Hey Sandeep,
First, Congrats for passing the interview successfully.
I was invited too.
I have the interview in two days.
If you can help and tell me what they ask you about ?
If you remember the questions that would be great.
thanks a lot

Hello Jaime.. i have already passed the interview and has been selected  as a nominee ( principal candidate) from my country....  I have given my essay to couple of people who are very good at editing and written english to proofread my essay.... What is the use of Toefl score ?

Thanks for the clarification Nan Khin and Cuc! I meant "a couple of days later", it was days, not years! I made a mistake as I was writing. Yes, definitely it takes a few months the whole process, not years! Otherwise you wouldneed to apply for another academic year.

Thanks for the correction Nan and Cuc. I think Cuc you should try applying again this time. In my case I was selected the second time that I applied. Good luck.
