Merhaba, everyone! Allow me to introduce myself - I'm Azeezat, the community leader for the Turkey group. I spent the summer of 2010 in Ankara and it was by far the best six weeks I've ever had. For me, there's no place like Turkey.

So, my question is what is your experience with Turkey? Are you Turkish (if so, awesome!), are you an aspiring exchange student to Turkey (if so, awesome!), or are you are an aspiring exchange student from Turkey (if so, awesome!)? What draws you to Turkey?

This will be a great way for everyone to introduce themselves. Fire away!

Hi!

I am Shakila from Pakistan. In 1983 I have lived in Turkey and have done a course in computer from middle east technical university, Ankara. I had a lot of friends there. I have missed them over my life.

Dear Stephanie,

I'm so glad to read about your Turkey travel plans this summer:) I'm sure you'll learn and explore a lot about our culture during your stay.I live in Izmir and I'll be extremely glad if you can come and see our beautiful city ,  Symrna,The Pearl of Aegean:) Istanbul, with numerous sights, is a must but you should also make notes about  Ephesus, which is one of the Seven Churches of Asia and  House of the Virgin Mary on Mount Koressos,Kusadası. People believing in the godly qualities of the Virgin Mary came here and drinking from the water believed to be sacred they make wishes in the mystic and quite atmosphere of Mount Koressos.I'd love to give more information about places to visit if you give me some more details about your holiday plans :) Regards,

Buket:)

Turkish cuisine is renowned and combines Mediterranean,Central Asian,Caucasian and Arabic influences and is extremely rich.A visit to Turkey lets you glimpse a culture which is maintaining modernity, historic and traditional  values :) Regards,

Merhaba! I'm Maggie, I plan on going to Turkey this summer, but I can't seem to find the right program to do so! I missed the CLS deadline, and language classes are my highest priority. Does anyone have any recommendations about where I can find the best program for Turkish classes?
