Comment by Lena (Team Member) on May 3, 2012 at 10:45am Hey Abd Allah,
That sounds really interesting - how exciting to be planning this kind of trip! Unfortunately, the State Department mostly runs trips on a more individual basis, or the U.S. embassies in the home countries will nominate people to go to the States on an international visitor trip. I would suggest that you post this question in our Educators discussion forum and see what they think. You can also go to ePals.com and look around at their programs. Good luck and keep us posted on what you do and what works!
Comment by Abd Allah El Hamoumi on March 20, 2012 at 12:31pm My school and a cultural association would like to organize a trip to USA next August. We were advised to get in touch with associations or institutions in the US. So far I have no idea who to address. Any help?
Comment by Lena (Team Member) on March 6, 2012 at 1:19pm Today, in honor of Ghana’s 55th Independence Day, I encourage you to think about what “independence” means to you. When is Morocco’s Independence Day? How do you celebrate? What effect has independence had on your country, if any? Let us know in the new discussion going on, titled “Independence Days Around the World”!

I thought it was so neat to hear the perspective of a teacher doing an exchange program. If you're a student now - do you think you would want to teach in a different country and language? If you are already a teacher - have you already taught somewhere else? What were your experiences? I'd love to hear about it! Or submit your own story on our Featured Stories page!
