Comment by RAKOTOMAHANINA on March 9, 2012 at 2:04am It has come to our attention that one of our distinguished Alumni, P/SUPT. ROMMEL SANTOS MIRANDA, (Humphrey Fellow, 2010-2011), on 24 February 2012, was accused of abducting and killing a wealthy businesswoman and is undergoing the preliminary investigation in Philippines.
When you add your signature to this letter to the Ministry of Justice of Philippines, you are taking a stand for requesting to provide Rommel Miranda with a fair trial and all relevant Human Rights guarantees. Your signature for pressing to secure human rights in this case is nothing more as only request to provide an outstanding person with the opportunity to defend himself in compliance with all human rights standards. Your small action may be a decisive factor in the final outcome of this case and life of Rommel Miranda.

Comment by Aleksandra Dukovska on November 18, 2011 at 12:59am Hello to anyone interested in the Humphrey Fellowship. It is good first to visit the section on the USA embassy in your country, check the criteria and the selection process and pursue for it. It is worthy for the long process of applying and selection. Feel free to ask me any question for the process, which is very individual and depends on what you want to create.
Rakotomahanina- that is great advice. It is always good to start out with the education department in your country's U.S. Embassy. Did you receive a Hubert Humphrey fellowship? If you did it would be nice to hear more about your experience with the program.
Comment by RAKOTOMAHANINA on June 17, 2011 at 9:12pm There are a few of you wondering how to apply to this program. Start by visiting the State Department official website to learn more.
