The U.S.'s National Endowment for the Arts just announced a new task force to promote research on human development and the arts. This task force will "encourage more and better research on how the arts help people reach their full potential at all stages of life."

The author, a philosopher, argues not only that there will always be much more to art than neurology can explain, but also that art itself may help us shape a "more empirically rigorous account of our human nature." What do you think?
